I started blogging on January 1st of 2010 and at first I figured my blog would just be for me and a few close friends.  I didn't realize that it would have 450 posts, over 1,000,000 page views and a book.

When I decided to embark upon this road to business school

- I didn't know anyone who had an MBA.
- I had no one to turn too to help me navigate the process.
- I saw the effort others were putting into their applications and knew that it would be a bigger hurdle than I imagined.

I started looking for resources online to help me figure everything out, but kept finding the stock responses in articles and such.  Then I found BeatTheGMAT.com and started to get a sense of what other applicants were going through.

I thought that by documenting my journey I could look back at different posts, when I was writing essays.  But as time went on I realized that this could be a haven for other people who are in the position where I used to be.

I want to give people a sense of what REALLY goes on behind the scenes for applicants, because I didn't have such a resource and it's REALLY important that people know how much it really takes.
